Problems with billing - Bulb Energy
I wondered if anyone else has had problems with Bulb Energy and how they managed to resolve the issue.
I received a communication from Bulb Energy that my account was in debt for £190.00 rather than having to increase my monthly payments by £60.00. I was advised that the amount was now clear.
A month later, I received another communication that the account was now £894.00 in debt and my monthly payments are now £96.00pm (this is for 2 people in a 2 bedroom flat) - In the last couple of months, I have been submitting readings monthly instead of quarterly. However, when looking at the readings my usage is not high enough to warrant the amount being deducted.
Additionally, I notice that their billing is incredibly difficult to read and they have issued several statement corrections which have increased the amount of the debt on the account. I'm now in the process of going through every bill and statement for the last 12 months in order to try to understand it but was also keen to know if anyone else has gone through this and how they proceeded.

Don't forget this is summer and your consumption will be a lot less than winter. In summer you can expect to be overpaying and this balanced out during the winter.eudora200 said:....................... I presume an all electric flat - £90/£100 is about par.Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill1 -
I'm a bit surprised considering my bills with SSE were a lot lower. I'm just one person in a 2 bedroom flat so I can't understand how that amount is justifiable.
Add to that the statement adjustments and the debit of more than £500,00 - it really doesn't add up.0 -
Unless you provide actual meter readings and statements covering the period in question nobody can help you. The likelihood is that you were previously being billed based on estimated readings or possibly only reading one register when on an economy 7 tariff. We can only guess.
