Do I need to open one of the above accounts, as my mum has recently passed, she had a full life policy with Zurich, the thing is my late dad was the trustee, as this wasn’t amended changed at the time of his death they are saying there is no trustee named so Zurich are now saying they can’t pay me out into a personal account I need to open a trustee bank account I am the executor of my mums will and the only beneficiary.
Any advice would be appreciated

Its not too hard to open an executors account... Natwest for example you open a basic account and then submit a form with evidence to convert it to an executors... see https://supportcentre.natwest.com/Searchable/913244482/What-is-an-executor-account.htm0

In my experience banks will only open an Executors account if you or the deceased bank/banked with them.0
