TUI has confirmed holiday, due to fly in five days, but I know my hotel is closed

So, TUI sent a 'good news your holiday is going ahead' email on the 7th of July. (Greece) Then have had two further emails from them counting down to the holiday and reminding to add passport details etc. Then found out from a friend that has travelled to same place I am going that the hotel I am booked with is closed! I confirmed this with the hotel last night who said that they told TUI back at the end of June that they will not open this season. I have called TUI call centre who just say that I will be contacted by the holiday change team, but no they cannot put me through or do anything else. I am at a total loss. Five days until I fly. Tui has confirmed holiday going ahead. Can they still cancel?????? (Greece is on the 'okay to travel to' list, TUI has confirmed three times that holiday is going ahead, have paid in full)

The answer to your question is yes, they can still cancel. I suspect, they are probably trying to find alternative accommodation for you. Just keep looking at your account section on their website. Hope it all goes ahead and you have a wonderful holiday, even if a different hotel.0

You will be offered an alternative hotel to the same or higher standard, or if this is not possible the option of a refund.
Not ideal but these things are happening. I would hope and expect your holiday change is near the top of a very large pile of upcoming holidays with changes and amendments. They will however be busy.
Get ahead of the game and call from TUI and look now on their website/brochure to see what alternatives you might like. List these as options for when they call you.

Do not cancel it yourself under any circumstances, or you will lose your right to a refund. No free lunch, and no free laptop
