Hi, i am about to start online shop for clothing . I am new to all of this. I need advice. An address is required for starting a business and i am renting and landlord didnot allow to use his address. Is there any way to buy a address? I need address for customers returns etc.please guide me.

There are plenty of places that offer a business post receiving or forwarding service but with the second you obviously have to factor in the cost of the 2nd postage and the customer service impact given they have to await the second delivery.

As above really if buying a mail box address make sure you use a service that accepts incoming parcels, many don’t. Buyers will have a right to return and with clothes you should expect a fair percentage where people buy two sizes and return one so will need access to the mail box or a guarantee that the company will send on to you immediately as you will have short time limits in which to refund.

Also, remember to provide your full legal refund Policy on your website , this is important as you need to ensure that you state for change of mind returns buyer pays return postage. - if you don’t state that then there can be an assumption that you pay both outwards and return postage on returns.

If you are selling on websites make sure you also comply with their rules which may give buyers even more options . Obviously if you are selling on your own website then your policies only need to be UK legal.
