Just bear in mind that this process is likely to result in your removal from the sales rep's Christmas card list...
It won't. They couldn't care less as long as they've made the sale.
They would if the dealer were to lose their commission on the finance deal...
I take the finance contributions then pay it off straightaway and am always completely straight with the sales reps on this - they couldn't care less, the amount they make as commission on the finance deal isn't significant.

Although I have just been able to get a 0% HP finance deal, so will keep the cash invested and take advantage of this. Moving forward there might be some really good finance deals which might be worth sticking with the finance for. It all depends on the detail of the finance deal.

What's more important is the volume of new car sales rather than small amount of commission the actual broker rakes in, particularly for main dealerships.

There has been previous debate on here that if you cancel = reject the finance that it may also cancel contributions that were part of it.
You've already got the car and the contracts you are party to are both satisfied. You can't be held responsible for any arrangement between finance company and dealer  to which you're not party too.
