Hi Ya does this make sense? 
All other quotes have come in around £ 4000 - 4400 
This guy is in the competent roofer scheme 
It is for the a mid terrace in the Manchester area

  Erect scaffolding all around the property to roof height.

 Provide skip

 Carefully take off existing slates and set aside sound material for reuse.

    Remove existing battens and any underlays, then clean down roof spars.

   Install a layer of good quality breathable waterproof membrane.

      Fix new 2x1 JB red treated battens all secured with 65mm galvanised thick gauge nails.

      Install new plastic eave guards.

  Install new guttering to the front and back

   Slate the roof back securing the slates with 40mm alloy nails.

      Any slates that have been broken will be replaced with similar size/quarry as originals(no cheap imports to be used).

    Re-bed the original ridge tiles in a gauged sand and cement hard wearing mortar.

    Make sure the site is left clean and tidy on completion.

All work will be guaranteed for 10 years on completion and will comply with new British Standards roofing guidelines 5534 for your area.

Total cost for work including labour and materials is £2900 plus vat
