This is a bit of a long one, so please bare with me....
firstly I work part time on a 17 hour contract, but so more every week.
Am I classed as a salaried employee or hourly paid ya I get paid for the hours o work?
also I was on long term sick (back operations) from sept to mid March, I returned to work and did 2 weeks at 17 hours before being furloughed.
my wages have been messed up since January!
I am now being told I owe them money, but really think it’s the other way round.
Does anyone know how my furlough pay should be calculated?
Or where I can go with all my info for help as my company will not take phone calls and I have sent over 20 emails and feel I am getting nowhere, Thanks for reading - hope some one can help.

If you are contracted to work for 17 hours a week, you are probably a fixed rate employee, even if you have worked for longer hours some weeks. That would mean that your furlough should be based on your wage for 17 hours that you were paid in the last pay period ending before 20 March 2020. Presumably the furlough pay is at 80% of full pay, so you would be furloughed on 80% of that wage. You should have been on SSP (statutory sick pay) while off work long term sick, unless your contract of employment was more generous.0
