GOLD---in the form of Krugerrands

A topic about gold jewellery on this Forum reminded me that I mentioned a day or two ago my 1 ounce Krugerrand collection------- in the savings and investments Forum, where it was very much out of context as the discussion of "punts" (that I doubt any poster invested in) was the order of the day. Can anyone tell me if they have any Krugerrands and, if so , how long they have held them and in what sort of facility do they keep them please ? They seem to have become "unfashionable" in recent years and have merely remained stable, yet I have seen an increase in value of over 100% now compared to 2015ish; and circa 50% increase over the past year. Anyone familiar with these beautiful works of art ?

Krugerrands are not beautiful, they are dull and coppery due to the copper in them. But bullion is bullion so it doesn't matterStruggling to see how your "unfashionable" krugs "have merely remained stable" and yet "have seen an increase in value of over 100%"1

there's no answer to that apparently
gold fans deserve their moment in the sun, but this is the whole premise of gold investing not a whole new story, so good and profitable for now, but will means revert in the long termI think I saw you in an ice cream parlour
Drinking milk shakes, cold and long
Smiling and waving and looking so fine0 -

A proof version doesn't look too bad but when you consider the extra that you have to pay for a proof coin, I would expect it to look far better.
I've quite a collection of bullion coins (a mixture of Krug's, Australian bullion coins, Sovereigns and a few Britannia) and I think that the Britannia is the nicest looking but as they were bought purely as bullion, what they look like doesn't really matter.1 -

It's like paintings-----another so-called investment whereas to me they are solely things of beauty to be looked at and admired.
BTW anyone invested in paintings, stamps, etc if they are not coin collectors ?0 -
are you going to make 4th post saying how nice you think they look?3

P.S. - especially from someone who complains a lot about how they wish the forum was a 'nicer place'.5 -
I had a Krugerrand once; very nice coin. Now I find physical too clumsy for investment. There's issues of storage, insurance, who to sell to and how and the time that takes. I prefer ETFs, shares in miners, and BullionVault where one can buy/sell instantly and with minimal cost. There are some potential counter party risks with ETFs but physical is not risk-free either.
