Tui flights with BA

Booked to fly to Italy with Tui on 5th September flying from Gatwick and returning to Gatwick. Overnight hotel stay and airport parking all booked for Gatwick. When I checked on BA site our outgoing flight is now from Heathrow so I managed to change hotel and airport parking to Heathrow but on checking return flight we are returning to Gatwick!!! Tui have not said anything in holiday confirmation email about different outgoing airport. They have said nothing about transferring us back to Heathrow to pick up our car. Surely we can't be the only ones in this predicament, Have tried to contact Tui on contact number given, on hold for 2 hours, apparently they are call centres in India and South Africa dealing with online bookings. I called our local Tui shop was given two email addresses to email which I have but had both emails retuned unable to answer due to high demand because of Covid. Anyone else in this situation? Can Tui fly us out of one airport and back to another without providing transport to collect our car from outgoing airport? any answers greatly appreciated thank you.

yes both flights with British Airways. Just checked online tonight on my BA check in code and it now says return flight is cancelled. You rellay could not make this up!!! No email from TUI at all I cant email them as they just return email and cant get through to them. Will never ever use them again.0

British Airways was due to resume short haul flights from Gatwick on September 9th. On 29th July announced that was moving date to 9th November.
Suggest you give TUI some time to tackle the issue as must be affecting many people.

Whilst TUI hold responsibility for your package and the flights I wouldn’t be too hard on them. It is BA playing with their schedules and operations at the moment. Probably a delay in linking and sharing the information.
As Thrugelmir says, give them some time to get information from BA and communicate this to you.
You have not mentioned the route (only Italy). Perhaps both outbound and inbound BA services will be from/to LHR.0 -
All BA's short-haul flights are staying at Heathrow until November at the earliest so you won't need to be looking for transfers at least but I suspect many of the flight numbers are changing, so wait a few days and hopefully, everything will be resolved0
