Did anyone get to the bottom of this? I’ve been very slow on noticing that the interest I got on both my and my partner’s Flexdirect accounts last month was the grand sum of 32p (full 2.5k). It looks like they’ve moved us onto the 0.25% on £1,500 but our promotional rates aren’t due to end until October.

Ive just dug out the email and it says nothing will happen until the promo rate ends.

We have both held FD accounts before, so interesting to see this mentioned above, but I see nothing about that affecting existing accounts from Nationwide and it’s not mentioned in the email advising of the change.

I’ve sent them over a message but 5 day response time with BH in the middle so any insights would be great.

In my case, it turned out because i had the FD account previously (even though i closed it down a full year ago), i should not have been entitled to the 2% interest on the newly opened FD. They paid the first month of interest in error, before moving me onto the 0.25% rate.
