we have a holiday booked in sept this year but have found out that the flights have been cancelled. travel republic have had a refund for this from the airline as i telephoned airline when i couldn't find our flight. i have since been trying to contact travel republic via phone [ the office is now closed please refer to our web sight] via messenger no one has looked at message and via manage my booking but no one has replied. the bookings number is closed and i find this very strange especially when you would think they would welcome new bookings. my concern is they"ve gone bankrupt. if they haven't then why can't i get hold of them, is anyone else having same problem?

Easier for companies to deal with cancellations/refunds in a structured manner, i.e. date. Than on an ad-hoc basis with thousands of queries from multiple directions. The fact that people send messages via multiple channels simply makes the problem worse for the business. As simply results in wasted time due to the duplication created.0

Travel Republic are dealing with things in order of date of travel. My sister had a trip with them scheduled for June and they are refunding her w/c 10th August based on the email she got from them. Pestering them via messenger wont make them refund you any quicker, if they have "gone bankrupt" a) it would be a matter of public record, and b) you would simply put a S75 claim in.1

Travel Republic are owned by the Dubai based Dnata Group, part of the Emirates family so they won't be going bust. Everyone is in the same boat with on line agents, they appear to be cheaper because they don't employ many staff, fine in the good times but a nightmare in the current situation. They will get to you in due course but many are taking the view that it may be better to take a refund and book through a real agent if you want to rebook in future0

Did you manage to contact them and / or get a refund?
Their refund policy states they were processing my refund 28th September. Only got flights. Cannot contact.0 -

I would do a search and look at some of the Alpharooms threads to see if people have posted on there about their experiences with Alpharooms.
If not answering your question then start a new thread with some more specific information about your situation.0
