TUI Spain September

Looking for advice about my holiday to mainland Spain in September.
it seems as though we have been left in limbo, having had no opportunity to amend for free, originally free amendments were up to 31st august. We are due to travel on September 1st. Now new bookings can amend for free.
I am getting increasingly concerned as was recently informed holiday will go ahead, but now with new restrictions it seems like more of a waiting game.
Seems like I can amend for a fee, or gamble that the restrictions will continue to september.
to be honest I am terrified of getting Covid and have not really been out for months, yet I may lose my money if I cancel my holiday.
anyone else in this situation?

Yes we are October and will have no choice but to amend because I work in a school and it has been made clear to us that we cannot self isolate during term
time should we be required too due to going on holiday.

Im rather frustrated that those booking now have been given flexible options incase anything changes yet I booked our holiday in January 🤷🏻‍♀️. I’m sorry to say there’s no real advice I can offer.

    Update
still no further communication, due to travel in 3 weeks today. Spanish holidays now cancelled until 28th august, and amendable before 1st sept. Yet September holidays not had any opportunity to cancel/amend.
Im 99% sure holiday will be cancelled but just annoying to be waiting still

I am as certain as possible, but as we know nothing is guaranteed, that your holiday will be cancelled. Spain is going from bad to worse and planning another lockdown itself from mid-September after which flights will be cancelled
