A sure way of being asked to move your business elsewhere.kazwookie said:Start going public fb / insta etc local radio & newspaper, but companies hate this, start to kick up a stink, ask to speak to the director / head of the review team, as someone has already said get onto your MP, ring the review team daily, start being a pain in the !!!!!! to them, and keep a record of when you rang / wrote/ how you spoke to etc............0

I wonder - have you tried to set up any faster payments or standing orders to pat the care home?Kavski said:
There’s been no dubious payments and no withdrawals so nothing obvious to set alarm bells ringing.colsten said:Have there been deposits into your mum's account from potentially dubious sources?
Has she got another account, into which you can redirect her pension payments?
You say that you have had HSBC 'recognise' your PoA - does this mean its actually registered with them?
One last question after registering the PoA did you request internet banking in your name as attorney or perhaps did you sign in under her sign-in (if she ever had IB)?0

Yes I would agree but I have access to view the accounts and there has been no withdrawals and just her pension going in each monthThrugelmir said:Something has triggered the review. These events happen for a reason. Which will be account activity of one kind or another. If your mother is in a care home then activity should logically be straighforward and minimal.0

Hi. The POA is registered with HSBC, I have a letter confirming it. No standing orders or direct debits set up, literally no account activity than her pension going in. I do have online banking set up in branch when they had confirmed POA and I sign in as me. Cust Serv have said the account is being reviewed but they can’t get any info and the review team will not contact me until the review is completejonesMUFCforever said:

That you know of.Kavski said:There’s been no dubious payments and no withdrawals so nothing obvious to set alarm bells ringing.
Certainly this will be because of a fraud investigation.
Maybe there is a payment in from / out to Kazakhstan that you do not know of and if the account has been compromised in this way, complete lockdown is for your mother's protection.0

I guess that would be possible that something isn’t showing on the account. But even so 5 weeks without any form of engagement makes no sense0

Have you opened another current account now and redirected your mum’s pension payments into that new account?0

There is no better time than right now.
Surely you wouldn’t want your mum to have to stick with HSBC after this ordeal, anyway?1
