Wondering if some one could possibly help me.I live in a flat which was built in June 1983,I purchased the flat from previous owner in Feb 1997. and I am now thinking about extending the lease.I have checked the charge certificate from hm land registry and it states that the term of the lease is for 120 years.,my question is that I have a letter transferring the new lease to the previous owner from the landlord/management company stating that the term of the lease is 125 years..could you please tell me who is right..land registry or landord/management company.
Many thanks graham

The governmement are currently looking at leasehold reforms including making it easier and cheaper to extend a lease. Might be worth waiting a while.
