hi all,
I need to replace my Electric cooker which is hardwired into the wall socket behind. . I am competent enough to do it but need to know if it is a legal requirement to have an electrician do it. . Any advice??
Thanks

No, there isn't. The only requirement is that anyone doing the work must be competent. "Competent" isn't really defined anywhere.
If it sticks, force it.
If it breaks, well it wasn't working right anyway.0
