Love Holidays - Portugal trip

Hi,
We are due to fly to Faro, Portugal on 11 August 2020 for a week. We asked LH several weeks ago whether we could change dates due to the FCO advise and the quarantine will overlap with our kids return to school and work. LH have been impossible to get through to but did advise that we may be able to change dates and were going to come back to me but then said i needed to speak to the airline, which is BA. It appears that the flights are still on (although they have been moved to Heathrow) and the hotel is open so they are still insisting that the trip is on. BA have told me i cant change dates as it is booked through LH so i am now trying t get back through to LH to find out what is happening but I am going round in circles there and i suspect now they have received our full payment that they will just push us to cancel. They have said that we could apply for a credit note or a refund but this could take up to 3 months but this seems to be a risk to me as they will simply say that we have cancelled. Is that right?
I am surprised BA are still flying with the FCO advice but i just wonder if anyone has any advice?

Hi Mike,
You should by now have heard from Love Holidays. They are working 7-10 days ahead of departures. Have you checked your 'my account' section on their website? Sometimes they have the options on there. If it was booked as a package I am not sure why you need to speak to BA yourself as the airlines normal refer back to agents when packages booked?
Sorry am not a huge help but as nobody as responded yet I thought I would just tell you daughters experience who was due to travel to Tenerife this month and didn't hear anything from LH until 10 days before due date despite the numerous emails she sent. Her holiday was cancelled but flights weren't going ahead, so slightly different situation. Good luck anyway, must be so infuriating.
Edited to add: oops you have said BA have referred you back to LH - apologies so get on your account section and send messages asking them where you stand with FCO advice against travel to Faro. Take screen shots - just in case you need it for insurance purposes if you are covered for FCO advice.0
