Redundancy

Options
Hi I have been told yesterday that I was made redundant as of yesterday I have been 1 week less than 2 years .
i have been on the sick for two weeks suffering from extreme insomnia and depression due to this company in the last two years I have done everything asked of me and more worked my hands to the bones covered my job and other people’s work and this is the way they have treated me.
To top it of I have just rang Acas to be told I can make a case for unfair dismissal as I have been there 1 week less than 2 years
Is there anything I can do they can’t get away with treating people like this.

Sounds like you are better off out of there in the long term if it’s been making you that ill. Good luck on searching for a new role.

Unless your insomnia and depression has been caused by one of the protected characteristics under the equality/disabilities act then with less then 2 years service not much you can do.
