Pockit stealing money!

I’ve had a Pockit account for months when all of a sudden when I started using it to get money owed to me paid back they suspended my account for “verification” Which I provided within 24 hours of the suspension and they have now blocked me on Facebook and don’t reply to emails or calls to have affectively stolen my money. I’ve had to lodge a formal complaint to the financial ombudsman along with many other users where so are literally going hungry or can’t feel their kids thanks to them.
so since the first week of may till now and the foreseeable future they taken £673 from me and others are thousands out of Pockit!
Please DO NOT use this company they can take your money as any moment and won’t give it back!!

Is there a question in the rant?
They may well be investigating the person or persons who sent you 'money owed to you'. You will have to wait for their investigations to be completed. If the money is legit you will get your money back - if not - you will have to find another way of getting it.
  • I think they are a great company and I would highly recommend them.
  • This is what happens when you deal with e-money firms - some of them suspend accounts at the drop of a hat and go silent on you for days and weeks.

My experience of Pockit is they automatically block the account every 2nd or so time it's loaded with funds and they ask for the same documents they've already been sent again - then take several days to get around to unblocking it.

I signed up for a Pockit card a few years ago before they started making a monthly charge for just having the card because it offered good cash back of up to 4% at high street stores where I shop regularly. However, never got round to using the card because despite the fact I had been on the electoral role at the same address for over a year when I signed up for the card they claimed they had been unable to verify my identity and imposed a ridiculously low load amount and maximum balance, which rendered the account useless to me. In order to get these restrictions lifted they wanted two copies of id  proving my address to emailed to them, which I sent and they never processed. Never bothered chasing it but they kept sending me automated emails until recently asking why I wasn’t using the card until a few months ago when they finally said they would close the account due to inactivity. Not a great experience. I’m sure the OP will get his money back I think they are just incompetent.
Now that they charge a fee, soon to raise to £1.99 a month, for just having the account on top of other ridiculous charges of 99p for every cash withdrawal you make on the card and for every DD or standing order you set up to be taken from the account, then I really can’t see why anyone would want a Pockit card now. The cash back offers still remain but for many users that will be wiped out by all the account charges. I remember reading when they were caught up in the Wirecard debacle that the majority of Pockit customers are on low incomes or otherwise vulnerable and many of them get their benefits paid on to it. If that’s true then really don’t understand why they would choose Pockit given the high charges when everyone apart from un discharged bankrupt’s can get a basic bank account without any such fees. There are online provides like Starling and Monese who all offer much better online alternatives as well.
  • ALL THIS CRITERIA REFERS TO POCKIT LIMITED AND THEIR DEALINGS:
Causing significant harm to customers, suppliers, etc.
    Breaking the law, e.g. fraud
Serious misconduct, e.g. company assets have not been used properly
Having a significant irregularity in its affairs
go to COMPANIES HOUSE AND REPORT THEM - WE ALL NEED TO DO THIS TO GET SOME ACTION AGAINST THEM

    Oh, not this again.

Was there really a need to drag up a nearly year old thread to post this?
