Ticketweb/Carling Academy

I am incredibly peed off! I booked tickets to see Kelly Clarkson in March through their site, paying over the odds for postage (£2.25, for a letter that would have cost the price of a first class stamp), as usual, only to get a note through the door saying that I needed to pay to collect, as Carling Academy had put NO postage on the letter. According to the man at the Post Office, they've had quite a few the same from the same place!

I will be writing an email to them in a moment asking to refund the postage I paid (as the money was never used on postage) as well as the fee I had to pay at the Post Office.

*edit: searched out my email, although I booked on Carling Academy Website, it was Ticketweb who dealt with the order*

I agree - I had to pay almost £5 postage on some theatre tickets which cost no more than 40p to post including the envelope! It's a con. Hope you get a bit of money back, anyway :)
  • Well I went through their form uploading photos of the envelope and the receipt from the PO, and it took me to a page about lost tickets! So I don't know if a human being will actually read it or if it's confined to Internet Hell forever.

If I don't get a reply in a few days I'll use the email addy that I found on the register for the Society of Ticket Agents and Retailers.
