British Airways refunds and vouchers

Booked and paid for a flight to France back in February by BA. Was advised to wait until nearer the time and check the status before seeking a voucher. I understand that unless they cancel no chance of a refund but now they are saying not even a voucher!! Is this right?

You've never been entitled to a voucher if you cancel. Vouchers are offered as an alternative to a refund if they cancel.
Your cancellation rights are dependent on the type of ticket you booked, so refer to the t&c's.
It's not clear when you are travelling, or if the flight has been cancelled?
No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)

    When is the flight?
BA extended flexibility to all bookings before end September recently.

If it is still operating then you will get no refund.
If you are in lockdown (Manchester,  W Yorks) then your insurance may cover you for missing the flight.

I thought all ba bookings were flexible for vouchers now? Defo agree you are onto nothing for a refund, I booked flights to yvr in late jan for September and have moved to Xmas with no penalty and actually a fare reduction. I also booked in nov 19 for nyc in May 2020, cancelled this and took a voucher which was applied to my yvr trip.
Saying that was all booked via BA holidays which may be why my t and c were different.

Although this statement seems to suggest you are entitled to a voucher???

If you want to change the destination and the dates of your booking

For bookings made prior to 3 March 2020 for journeys to be completed by 30 September 2020 or bookings made between 3 March 2020 and 31 August 2020 for travel completed by 30 April 2021, please complete the online voucher form to change both your destination and dates. We will cancel your booking on your behalf and email you a voucher to the value of your booking, valid until 30 April 2022.

Vouchers can be used as payment, or part payment, for a future booking. Your new trip booked using a voucher must be fully completed by 30 April 2022 (departure and return). You will receive your voucher by email within seven days of your application.

My reading is that you should now be entitled to a voucher.
