hi all,
I need to replace my Electric cooker which is hardwired into the wall socket behind. . I am competent enough to do it but need to know if it is a legal requirement to have an electrician do it. . Any advice??
Thanks

If you are competent, and it is only a direct replacement, not running new upgraded cable etc then OK.NRand said:hi all,

You do need to be a competent person who has been trained in both safe isolation and installation.
Is this like for like with same power requirement, output etc?
But you have posted in the "Local Moneysaving. Spotted a bargain let other money savers know" board?
Perhaps more advice to get post moved to here In my home (includes DIY) MoneySaving

It would be a like for like, no upgrade.
I have no training, but without sounding bad I have researched how to install the new one (similar to changing a plug, just in a wall) and feel competent enough to do it, just wondered about the legality. .0
