    In high class work the painters used to lay off twice diagonally before the final lay off the length of the panel.
    It's surprising how many people do all their own painting without knowing any of the basics and even the correct way to clean and store their brushes.
    What colour primer/undercoat did you use?

    Ok, two more thin and very feathered coats on from the original post and it's actually starting to look good! Not perfect as yet, but I am going to give it another light coat tomorrow. Watching the video really made a difference, thanks neil and others.

    Glad it's going better for you. I've almost finished repainting the exterior of our house. Just the door to do which my wife wants Red, a change from it's present white.
