Utilita Tarif

I’ve heard lots of people raving about utilita and see more and more people using them, the main draw seems to be the “no standing charge” , but when going on there website I can’t see any info on the tarif rates, just says energy is cheaper after the first 2kwph! Isn’t that just a hidden standing charge but given a different name! Does anyone know the tarif charges.

Yes, it is an older way of doing it but amounts to the same thing as a standing charge if you use energy every day.
If you want to see the tariff details you'll need to follow the 'Quote' link on their website, also it looks like you will already need to have a pre-payment meter as well...

    Utilita's rates are horrendous.

    In my area:

    Electricity:
    • First Rate - 31.782p
    • Saver Rate - 17.885p
    • No Standing Charge
    Gas:
    • First Rate - 21.345p
    • Saver Rate - 3.415p
    • No Standing Charge
In both cases, 'first rate' is the charge for the first 2kWh per day.  Other consumption is charged at their 'saver rate'.

No exit fees, so I guess the tariff may be beneficial to someone who is leaving a property empty for a while.
