Morning all
A scorcher here already we are in for a good day I think, will see you all at Nels spa later for Friyay cocktails !!
A quick one from me this morning as we are off to dd's house to meet two estate agents to get a valuation, hopefully this will get the ball rolling on selling it, if the evil ex turns up we are calling the police and leaving, its nerve wracking though and we are both anxious.
Not sure about dinner tonight but we have lots in so plenty of choice.
Gers enjoy your haircut xx
Have good days all xx12 -
Morning! Sunny here too! I've been checking our covid stats for a few weeks now and the infection rate seems to be doubling every week over the last three weeks. It's not a massive amount of infections but my woman in the know says there are new deaths...I think I will hermitify mysef again. I kind of promised that I'd take OHs mum to the swedish place next week though so we'll see what happens there.I am not planning anything today except keeping the doors and windows and curtains shut all day with copious messing about on the internet looking for aeasthetically pleasing covered patio structures. I don't know why I'm bothering, it'll come out black whatever it looks like because it'll be painted with the same paint as everything else
And I'll probably put that corrugated board stuff on top which will probably also be black. I'm entering a new stage where I goth up the garden.
And no, I won't be doing a tidy, it'll be too hot and sweaty [ our house seems to cling to the heat in the summer and vice versa in the winter] . I'll water the tomatoes and then scuttle back in....Good luck ruby, hope it goes ok. Gers, good to hear she's feeling the benefits...TA, sorry you're shut in again...Hey all reading along, find a shady spot firday!Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi11 -
Morning All
DS1 has just left, he had a meeting online at 8.30 and now has to go hand in his work technology. He's going to see DD after before he goes home. I've stripped his bed and that's on the line, a white wash of towels is now doing its stuff.
I didn't sleep too well last night, think I ate too much too late, I made a risotto that was delicious and full of veggies, need to add risotto rice to my list now as I used the last of it.
The sun hasn't arrived here yet but it's trying hard, I'm going with friends to a posh Glasgow restaurant, of all days to go it has to be the hottest! Never mind, it has been rearranged from before the lockdown so have to go really. I'll drive there, not bothered about having a drink and I'm not feeling ready to go on the train yet. Hopefully I'll be home by around 5 so should be able to enjoy some late sunshine.
Happy haircut Gers!
Hope all goes well today RR.
Have a happy Friday, take care. XX12 -
Morning all
It’s far too hot for me already and predicted to reach 33 degrees later this afternoon, I will hop into a cold shower shortly and then sit in front of my fan with a cuppa and a book.
All pots and baskets have been watered and the bird feeders refilled though there doesn’t seem many birds about this morning, I think that the sparrow hawk has been about and they are all very wary. We also get a silly amount of red kites about which makes the smaller birds a bit skittish.
Did the weekly shop yesterday so that I wouldn’t need to go out today in the heat, stocked up with plenty of drinks and BBQ foods so plenty of choice for meals later.
We were planning on a few days out but the Covid-19 infection rate is rising at an alarming rate in our area so will stay home for the meantime!

Morning all,
We haven't been promised such heat as you have in UK, but it is a very pleasant morning, I have been found the back lawn and found some ripe blackberries which I shared with DDIL.......mind you they weren't very sweet but lovely to have so early in the year, we don't normally have them for at least another three or four weeks. I woke up feeling sorry for myself when I woke this morning, feel better now.
Am seeing my doctor this afternoon, need to talk to him about some of my meds, about appointment with surgeon on 13th and anything else that comes to mind......will write a list.
Gers......glad that DM is responding to exercise, hope that you are happy with your haircut..........I am not sure what to do with my hair, am toying with letting it grow.
Sorry to hear of another lockdown, we have been staying at home mostly and will continue to do that, as, while fatalities are down, cases are up. I feel that we are all going going to live with the deadly virus, taking all precautions we can..
Enjoy your sunshine and stay safe

Morning all, I thought it was Saturday. It's supposed to be "Scorchio" today and it was hot enough working outside yesterday. I lifted a "fun" potato plant yesterday as it was dying and lo and behold I have potatoes. More than enough for a meal, possibly 2,Yay !! I still have 7 more plants, but I'll wait a while longer to lift them. The wm is on with a load and I have stripped the bed so the bedding will be washed next, our dirty gardening/ DIY clothes will be the last to enter the drum of doom !!I have a few jobs to finish off in the garden today. The hose was wrestled into submission but needs to be put back into the correct shed, the waste containers etc have been sterilising overnight so they have to be emptied, cleaned and put back too. We have to move a lone fence panel and brush the side of the shed down, but that will have to wait until the sun goes off it. Later I shall remake the bed but I may leave the upstairs hoovering for a cooler day. I have a gammon joint to go in the slow cooker ready for tomorrow as DD may be coming over to paint our shed, so we'll have that cold with some minty garden potatoes and peas. I'll cut some mint too as it's grown like billy-o since I split the plant fro DD. If there are 40 hrs in the day I'll do some weeding as they seem to have appeared overnight.TA absolutely anything you want. I still have my late DBiL's record collection from when he had his own disco. I think there are about 8,000 singles and 6,000 LP's in the office, from the 50's to the 90's when he passed away. I'm surprised the floor hasn't caved in with all the weight !Redruby I hope today passes without hindrance.taff made me laugh at you "goth-ing" up the garden.MeanMarie hope all goes well today for you too.Healing vibes to the poorlies and hugs to those that need/want them.Hope those people with haircuts, visits to friends or sm's enjoy the day. Sorry that some of you are back in lockdown, we haven't even come out of it yet and it'll probably be re-imposed for the masses here before we come out of it. That's ok by me as I am still not yearning to be out and about.Right the wm has finished so I'll hang the washing out as there is a lovely breeze along with the heat.Take care all, stay safe and keep wellnan xxFailure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently12

I read along daily but rarely post here. However, I did read the new lockdown article & am just wondering how the no private gardens meetings can possibly be policed? Will we turn into a police state with doors being broken down? I am beginning to be very afraid 😟 even though I am not in the lockdown area.

Afternoon everyone
Just had my lunch and a catch up - little one is fast asleep upstairs. DD is working today so she dropped little one on her way - we went down to my mam and dads and she had a lovely play. The sun is shining here so I'm going to go out and do a couple of tidying jobs in the garden whilst she's asleep , then we'll spend the afternoon playing outside.
hope everyone has a good day9
