Scooter Warranty

On an impulse I bought a Xiaomi scooter, the deal was good and small print suggested as the item was shipped from Poland it would have a warranty.
Great scooter and good fun in spite of it's legal position. After a couple of months the battery wouldn't charge up, so I contacted the seller. Turns out they are in China and communication was problematic as they wanted a video showing the fault but I couldn't load onto the site or send via email. Eventually they asked me to return to them but I am reticent as this won't be straight forward nor without cost. I contacted Xiaomi UK and they refuse to help as the item was sold into China and they only offer UK warranty, I then said I was prepared to pay for the repair but they still won't help. Any retailers don't seem interested either so all a bit disappointing.
Does anyone have any info that can help or point me in the right direction ? Not sure were I stand in regard to my consumer rights accepting that maybe I should have been more savvy before buying.
Thanks

Have you tried Halfords? They say they are the UK official distributor.0

Poland or China not the UK for any Consumer Rights .

JJ_Egan Have you started using some new mobile app or something? Your posts (or at least the ones I've read) seem to have become very cryptic recently.

Halfords said to go direct to Xiaomi who aren't willing to help in spite of me being prepared to pay.0

I'm not sure what you can do then. Neither Halfords nor Xiaomi are obliged to help, so your only recourse is the retailer. That means understanding a Chinese retail law or perhaps involving your credit card company to see if they can help.0

Me too, I questioned him on one of his responses and he came back with something that sounded like Yoda wrote it.0
