EasyJet flight voucher can’t be used against EasyJet Holliday???

Hi ,bit of a complex one this ,will try and keep as brief as possible ,We had flights booked with EasyJet early July for a family trip to Alton towers ,due to our sons condition, new regulations and the uncertainty around the time of travel we had no choice but to abandon our trip ,Alton towers refunded in full ,no problem at all ( turns out the park /hotel only reopened the day after we were due to fly but as I said there was a lot of uncertainty during this time) Other issue was regarding our son who has severe learning/autism and ADHD and the confusion regarding face masks on flights at this time ,he simply would not tolerate a face mask causing distress to him ,other passengers and cabin crew so we had to pull out of the trip * important to note flights we were booked on did depart as scheduled * Could not find an option for a refund so we were offered a flight voucher ,we accepted as we had intended to use against next years holiday ,have since discovered that EasyJet do not allow you to redeem flight vouchers against their package holidays ,on the voucher e- mail No Where does it state this so I think they need to make this clearer ,Holiday is now booked but like most families we can only afford one trip away per year so if we can’t use our voucher to pay some of the holiday cost it is useless to us ,EasyJet are a nightmare to get in contact with at present especially since the quarantine returning from Spain has been announced. What are our rights regarding a refund for our flights and why can’t these flight vouchers be used to redeem some of the cost of EasyJet holidays ,If we had booked flights separately then our trip would not be Atol protected ,any advice much appreciated

So its a refund in voucher form from a flight only booking, and it can only be used against a future flight only booking? If so, seems fair enough to me.1

Hang on...you booked Easyjet flights to come to Alton Towers? What country do you live in? Does ATOL protection apply if you live overseas (dont know the answer to this btw).
I assume you are in Northern Ireland then?0 -
Yes from Northern Ireland
Will try Easyjet see If the voucher can be used against the holiday , I do realise as stated in the original post that the flights we were booked on departed as scheduled but things were changing by the hour then ,let alone the day (still are tbh ) ,it was our sons condition and the whole face mask think that ultimately made our decision, family break is something to be enjoyed ,not stressed about also the expense involved ( none of which are any fault of EasyJet by the way) .Would have liked them to be more transparent on vouchers and how they can or can’t be used ,as I am aware the names can’t even be changed from the original booking ,seems a shame that it will be wasted but by the same token we won’t be taking a flight as a full family just for the purposes of redeeming a flight voucherAdeyDobbin said:What are our rights regarding a refund for our flightsAdeyDobbin said:why can’t these flight vouchers be used to redeem some of the cost of EasyJet holidaysAdeyDobbin said:If we had booked flights separately then our trip would not be Atol protected ,any advice much appreciated

If the flight actually went you were lucky to get the vouchers in the first place. I dont see no issue about them only being usable on a flight only booking given you have been given a goodwill gesture refund from a flight only booking.0

I'm inclined to agree with the above - if you chose not to travel, you weren't even entitled to a refund or voucher (the reasons are irrelevant unfortunately).
Ultimately you'll be best cutting your losses, as easyJet holidays are registered as a separately company (easyJet holidays Ltd) so the vouchers are issued by another company.1 -
Ok thanks for the feedback , good to get several unbiased opinions regarding this0

Are you not going to accuse us both of both working for Easyjet? Thats what usually happens around here when people on threads dont get replies that dont like 🤣0
