It does sound like it might be a blessing, given how you say you've been using it.
Not defaulting is a very low bar for success. The ongoing payments for a £199 purchase is what will concern lenders, so if that;s now gone, that's an improvement.2 -

I'm a bit puzzled by this one - when the shoe is on the other foot, so to speak, we see various posts about how defaults and other 'bad' markers can't be removed as the credit providers are required to accurately report credit history with the CRAs.
So in this situation, why would Vanquis be allowed to expunge perfectly valid and accurate past credit history as part of closing an account?0
