Love Holiday cancelling hotel only

Hi all I am desperate .. so my Flight to Cyprus on 28th August has been cancelled by EasyJet ..had booked separate hotel booking with Love Holidays, on their web site states you should advise them immediately if your flight is cancelled by carrier via manage my booking, I have gone through every single Tab and cannot see this option, anyone who has tried to contact LH will know its impossible, has anyone else had this problem and if so what was the outcome as they aren’t to know EJ have cancelled and will take the money due to them on 14th August. I even tried stopping the payment In hope they would they would then contact me but my bank say I have to contact LH, I am at my wits end as its a lot of money they will be taking for a holiday I am not able to go on. I would really appreciate any help you can on this. Thank you in advance

It's not loveholidays fault that your flight is cancelled in a hotel only booking.
My flight has been cancelled is only available if you booked a package holiday.
You need to book different flights if the hotel is still openEx forum ambassador

Are ok thank you that crossed my mind as I was typing this all out.. and if I cancel I will loose money they will be taking on 14th I guess as so late in the day now to do anything else..has anyone managed to contact them direct at all ..

Contacting LH really won't help. You will not get a refund if the hotel is available, so as advised above, your best hope is to try and arrange other flights. Also look at your holiday insurance to see if that covers you.

I had a hotel only booking with LH for April. At that point the booking was cancelled by them due to Covid19. I have amended the booking (same hotel) for October instead. Is it possible for you to do that?1

Am going to try after after I finish work later but think as only a month away could incur a hefty penalty charge0

Yes, you almost certainly will. If you are likely to lose the full amount (check the t&c's) then consider waiting until nearer the departure date, as LH may still cancel the accomm, which would qualify you for a refund.

You have identified the risk of not booking a proper package. Cyprus has until this weekend been closed to UK residents, from August 1st they will allow them in but only if they have had a test within 72 hours of arrival. Jet2 pleased with the Cypriot government to change their mind but they refused and Jet2 have cancelled flights as has TUI so I am not sure you will find anyone other than Ryanair flying, and you need to pay for the tests as well.0
