Hi,
Just looking for some advice ive been furloughed for 4 months and was put on 80% off my basic wage. I rely on ovetime each month to top my income and every month do minimum 40 hours overtime which was not taken into account during my furlough, making my furlogh amount more like 50%. Is there any help or advice on if i can claim back
kind regards
James

If your employee has been paid variable payments due to working overtime, you can include these payments when calculating 80% of their wages as long as the overtime payments were non-discretionary. Payments for overtime worked are non-discretionary when you are contractually obliged to pay the employee at a set and defined rate for the overtime that they have worked.

You should have raised this earlier, as CJRS claims cannot be amended. But what actually matters is what your contract of employment, as amended by your furlough agreement, says.0
