Debt Recovery Plus

Options
Hi back in December 2019 we were staying at the Travelodge in Grantham where the parking is an adjacent Moto Car Park operated by UKPC, we were booked for 2 nights and registered our car via reception. A couple of weeks later we got a PCN from UKPC which we appealed and successfully overturned. However several months later we started getting letters and referrals about the same incident and so just ignored them, when the letters turned to Debt Recovery threats we of course started to get concerned, and only then noticed it was a different PCN which must have been issued for the second night we were staying in Grantham, at which point I tried to point out that this must be an administrative error and should be cancelled as well. Via e-mail they just said the 28 days for appeal had passed and we should pay up.
What should / can I do this almost feels like harrassment, the worrying aspect is that we are also booked to go back to the same Travelodge to see my niece soon, and will have to park in the same car park!? Any advice or information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

UKPC have form, read this and be sure that you mention it on the TripAdviser, T
    trivago, booking,com and hotel,com websites.

Nine times out of ten these tickets are scams, so consider complaining to your MP., it can cause the scammer extra costs, and in some cases, cancellation.

Parliament is well aware of the MO of these private parking companies, many of whom are former clampers, and on 15th March 2019 a Bill was enacted to curb the excesses of these shysters. Codes of Practice are being drawn up, an independent appeals service will be set up later this year,

Just as the clampers were finally closed down, so hopefully will many of these companies, persistent offenders denied access to the DVLA database and unable to operate.

Hopefully life will become impossible for the worst of these scammers, but until this is done you should still complain to your MP, citing the new legislation.

Debt collectors have no powers and can safely be ignored as per the advice in the fourth post of the NEWBIES.

Complain to the BPA and Travelodge about this.

Complain to your MP about this unregulated scam.

DRP are only idiots and scammers and nobody deals with them.

Write to UKPC and tell them to call their idiots off and complain to the BPA
Clearly their record keeping is well below standards.  You can forget DRP

Email the BPA to complain about UKPC's conduct.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
