Ooooh NELS I wouldn't want to sit reading whilst you are all enjoying yourselves! I'd be knocking the cocktails back like the rest of you. But you might tell me to shut up when I start singing along to the music - I hope NAN has plenty of 60's and 70's stuff as I don't know the words to newer stuff!
ROSY my DS bought me a DNA testing kit for Christmas but, to be honest, I was a bit disappointed with the result. I was hoping for a more exotic history! I too stem mostly from West Yorkshire and Southern North Yorkshire, with a bit of French, Irish, Scottish, Swedish and Norwegian thrown in. Those blooming vikings coming across raping and pillaging have a lot to answer for! I know for a fact I had ancestors coming up here to live and work from Norfolk but there is no mention of that area on the DNA.
As yet the weather isn't living up to forecast (again!) I cleaned the kitchen and bathroom, and the towels and mats are chugging away in the wm ready to hang out in the afternoon sun - which hasn't yet arrived! x

Sorry to be so late. I woke early this morning and then went back to sleep. It's put me out for the rest of the day.
Have a good time at the Spa everyone. Me, I'll be indoors, windows shut, curtains drawn and this little mole on the sofa with a book. I don't do heat at all well.
My poor DS2 is having to drive the family+dog from the Isle of Wight to Suffolk in the heat of the day tomorrow. They are staying at his FIL's to water his garden while FIL is away. This means (as DS2 remarked rather bitterly) that they have to get neighbours in to water THEIR garden. Still, good family relations have been maintained.

I typed out a long post but it vanished.
Did an online course on internet safety for children and young people but although interesting, and although the f amilies I work with would have those concerns, there is a whole layer of additional concerns that they need support with to help.manage this specific area and it was not addressed at all, not even mentioned. So I pointed that out in my evaluation. Nevertheless I got a susstificate. Now ive refreshed all my mandatory training.
This took me longer than it should have done. I like to take copious notes for future reference but the ancient paws are like septic octopi at the end of myarms after yesterday.
Otherwise, all I have achieved i s washing.
I'm very tired still so am planning to read in bed.I was jumping to conclusions and one of them jumped back7
