We booked our flights, villa and travel insurance in September 2019 for beginning of July 2020. Our flights were cancelled due to Covid-19 and received a refund, but we managed to move the villa dates to end of August 2020 and booked flights with another airline. Now we are concerned, with the current situation with Spain, that we are not covered if we have to cancel our holiday, due to FCO restrictions, as we had ‘moved’ the villa dates and ‘booked’ flights after the Covid-19 outbreak, i.e after mid March. Does anyone know if  we still covered for flights and villa?
Thanks,

    Thanks,

Only your insurance can tell you that. Who is it with?

    Nationwide does.

    No such company

    Virgin Money?

    FAQ re moving holiday dates

If you have an annual, multi-trip policy, then you’ll still be covered – providing you bought your policy before 13 March 2020, when we declared coronavirus a ‘Known Event’.

However, if the dates of your policy need to be moved to accommodate your new travel dates, and you bought your policy and originally booked your holiday before 13 March 2020, please get in touch.

We’ll assess these requests on a case-by-case basis, taking your individual circumstances into account.
