Good Afternoon,
is there anyone who help?
i have a holiday booked with OtBeach due to leave for the Canaries on Saturday.
since the FCO advise, I have not heard anything from them. Their call centre is a pre-recorded message. And their Facebook page is an automated response.

I have checked with my holiday insurance - whom confirmed that cover is not valid due to the FCO advice.
Additionally, I have contacted my credit card firm (Lloyd’s) - who confirmed, perhaps strangely, that if the service - ie the flight goes ahead and the hotel is open - then it will be difficult to get a refund - irrespective of FCO advice. They did advise to screenshot OtBeach website.
i am not too concerned re the 14 day quarantine and would happily re-book elsewhere - but can’t contact anyone.
i have heard from EasyJet - who have emailed to say if I don’t amend by Thursday this week - then I will incur cancellation/amendment charges.
any advice would be welcomed

With the number of people who've booked to travel to Spain. Fair to assume that operators are currently overwhelmed. Hence why they've taken themselves off line. More productive use of valuable time. As matters can then be dealt with in a structured manner rather than on a piece meal basis.0

I fully appreciate your comments, but with a departure scheduled for Saturday, would have expected contract - it’s still known that other holiday firms have already done this.
a shocking way to tr3st customers0 -
Do you want to travel or not?Despite the FCO advice, there is a relatively low level of corona in the Canaries. There are a couple of travel insurers who will cover such circumstances, so you could save your holiday.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. Why have you booked a vacation which is non essential to Spain during a pandemic? The poor nurses at NHS have seen enough don't you think?2

To be fair on the OP - this could have been booked months and months ago before the word pandemic was even being thought about.HollyTrees said:Why have you booked a vacation which is non essential to Spain during a pandemic? The poor nurses at NHS have seen enough don't you think?
The act of actually travelling may be up for discussion
And we are fine in the NHS thanks - just in need of a good holiday

The travel industry needs to be supported to prevent it collapsing even more and even more jobs being lost!HollyTrees said:Why have you booked a vacation which is non essential to Spain during a pandemic? The poor nurses at NHS have seen enough don't you think?
As usual everyone working in the NHS has been doing an excellent job and hopefully they will all be booking a well deserved non essential holiday this year too.0
