Advice needed on entitlement to reduncy pay

Hi all, this is a difficult one but I would really appreciate any help/advice you might have on this one. I work in the travel industry and I face being made redundant in my current role within the business. There is, however an opportunity to apply for another role within the business. I want to know where I stand with regards to reduncy pay as technically, I am being made redundant and I have to go through a new application process for the new role on another department. Am I still entitled to the reduncy pay in this case? I would ask my HR department this question but concerned they will try and get out of paying me reduncy if they can. I hope I have explained the situation clearly enough! Many thanks

Part of the redundancy process is to avoid it by finding other roles you can do for the same employer. See

You would not be entitled to redundancy if you took on another role with them.1
