Hi,
Was due to flying out to Gran Canaria on the 11th August until the Government changed the advice to only essential travel thus invalidating most travel insurance policies.
I have found a company called https://www.battleface.com/ that provide cover for countries that have this advise imposed.
We are in unprecedented times but was wondering if anyone had taken out similar policies and had traveled against FCO advice.
Thanks

Battleface has good feedback , from what I've seen on some Lanzarote groups on Facebook lots of people plan to go on holiday still.

Battleface may provide insurance which covers travel against FCO advising against travel, but will they provide that insurance once the FCO advice is already in place?

Of course, you wouldn't know if you were contagious or not, unless you had symptoms or were tested and shown to be infected with the virus.
More accurate to say that the government currently requires anyone returning from the Canaries to isolate in case they are infectious.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards.
