Keep or ditch unused Credit cards

Hi, I have 3 CC which I no longer use and each have zero balance. I got them when they had 0% for a number of months. When the deals ran out I moved to a new 0% deal. So I now have these accounts still open but not used nor likely to be used. Is it to my advantage to keep these accounts open or better to close them completely in the likelihood I will be looking for another good deal when the time comes?
I started out with nothing......And still have most of it left:p

I would say if you are not likely to use them again, close them so you are able to open new credit accounts if needed.

There's no need to close them - it will generally be counter productive to do so.  Just make sure you keep at least three of them active by occasional use.

I agree with zx81 - use them for routine shopping now and again just to keep them active - you never know at some time in the future you may require emergency funding.

ok thank you.  Interesting. Thought it may be better to close them as I'm not likely to use them due to the higher rate

The rate doesn't matter, because you won't be paying interest.

How much would you recommend spending? Or is it more the frequency of usage that matters?

Just spend what you need to and clear each month. Just don't go over your limit.
