Octopus energy impossible to talk to anyone

Having spent years persuading my elderly parents to finally leave British Gas, my dad chose Octopus. Tried to do it on line but it kept saying something went wrong. They dont have a mobile, which possibly is compulsory. So my dad phoned the number it said to ring ( not free phone ) After about 20 mins he finally spoke to customer service who bluntly said, we don't take calls, email us and we will respond and hung up. Email return date stated on their web page for yday ( yes they do it day to day ) is 15 days. Hes now so furious he won't leave British Gas. 😢

I have been with Octopus Energy now for nearly 2 1/2 years. I suspect that you may have used the incorrect contact number. Try 0808 164 1088
