Help booked with teletext

Hello all I don’t know if this is the right way to start this as I’ve never used before. We have booked with teletext to go to Spain in September for what was meant to be a friends wedding however this has now been rearranged for next year. We booked through teletext which are a nightmare to get a hold of and Ryanair have rescheduled our flight for a few hours later that day. They have emailed to say that we can accept the change, change the time or now have said we can get a refund. We managed to get a message to teletext to say this and they said to get refund through Twitter and they would cancel hotel, we are now worrying that they will not give hotel money back as it is as if we are cancelling. Has anyone got any opinions on this please?

Hi Sam,

It does sound to me like you are cancelling the hotel because you have decided not to take the flights?   This being the case, you will be treated as a cancellation under the terms and conditions of booking.   It is slightly complicated because normally if you have booked a package holiday and flights are cancelled then you would be eligible for a refund of the lot.   The way it looks is the flights weren't cancelled, you were just given the option to cancel yourself?    That is how I am reading it anyway.   Sorry if not what you want to hear.     But request Teletext for a refund or voucher, just in case..
