Advise needed as Furlough finished and employer did not contact me.

First apologises for my English as I am Spanish and this is a bit long. I was working 2 days a week before furlough and my manager call me to tell me that they were closing the company and I was going to be in furlough. Before the furlough finished I found out that they were going to star working in some part of the business ( mine) so I did contact the person in charge of that and asked what was going on. He said I could work one day ( they had another employee instead for the other day that i was working before furlough ) or stay in Furlough and that it was not 100% that there will be enough business for needing me every week. I reply that either I work the 2 days or was not worth it as furlough was more than one day ( He never mention I could have less furlough and work one day ) plus there was the possibility that the day before my working day they will cancel the shift . Two weeks later furlough finished and the company never send any email, letter or phone call to let me know, neither gave me back either of the 2 days . I have send several emails to the manager with no reply and the person who offered me the one day says that I did refuse to work because I rather be in furlough ( I have the emails with him where I clearly said I would work my 2 days instead of furlough ). So since July 1st that the furlough finished I have not worked and there has not been communication with me from the manager since the very beginning of the furlough .I spoke with ACAS and they said that I should send a letter of grievance but I wanted to give him the chance first so I send another email today with my resignation in a week ( I am moving back to Spain and they knew that from long time so probably that is the reason for ignoring me) and telling him that I will send a letter of grievance soon and that I need the p45. He has not reply to me neither. I really dont know what to do and did not want to escalate this. I have worked 6 yrs with them and we had a good relationship but I just think they expected me to take the one day and loose the furlough and were disappointed for that but I am also disappointed as they gave my other working day to someone else and did not explain anything . Sorry for boring you with all these but if anyone understood and knows what I should do it will be great. It is a very small company and I dont have a written contract buy I am on their payroll .Thank you!!
Thanks
Thanks

Unless and until you are informed otherwise, you are still furloughed.
The furlough scheme does not "finish" until the end of October.

When are you returning home to Spain? This would have been a factor in any decisions that were made. As you declined the single day of work the other person was obviously more than happy to take this up. Can you not visit the premises and have a face to face conversation ?0

Given that you handed your notice in and will move to Spain, what do you hope to gain through the grievance?
A good reference may be of more value.
You should still be paid furlough or salary up until your leaving date, and then get the P45 after that.2 -
So, do you think I should ask for the July salary/furlough and P45 without the grievance ? I could try but they are not replying to my emails, that is the problem.Grumpy_chap said:Given that you handed your notice in and will move to Spain, what do you hope to gain through the grievance?

I am moving next weekend . The true is that the company was close when they starting selling and kind of ( I contact them) offer me the one day . To me , I think it was kind of irregular thing, the company closed and that section opened before the reopening of the company and I think that is why they did not officially offer me my job back otherwise I dont understand the reasons.0 -
Unless you are going to get anything substantial out of it, the grievance will mean stress for you and leaving then with a bad taste. I understand the desire to 'take a stand' but, as you are moving to a new future in Spain, it may be just as easy to take July and P45 and focus on the future rather than dwell on the past.swam said:

P45's are normally produced when the payroll is run. Payroll is most likely outsourced. Not grounds for a grievance either. Just ensure that there's a forwarding address. What's your concern over the P45?swam said:

You are totally right, now I am a bit more calm down, we should not act on high emotional anger stage. I am glad I did ask here and you gave me good advise. Will definitely dont need theatres of a grievance at this point .I was going to do it because Acas told me to .Grumpy_chap said:
