Need advice (parcel not arrived)

So I ordered something with my aqua card, checked my emails and it said the order had been delayed. Looked again 4 days later and it was still delayed so I double checked the order and seen I had put the wrong postcode. Got in touch with customer service they said the postcode couldn’t be changed so they could either deliver it to that address (which doesn’t exist) or wait for the parcel to be returned to them from the courier and then refund me. I picked the refund option, in the next email they said the parcel might not be returned and if it’s not I won’t get a refund? I had a look on the aqua website and there’s a way to dispute a charge is this something worth doing? It’s been a couple of days and they haven’t been in touch I’m worried I’m now down £100 for something I haven’t even got! Any help is really appreciated!

If you put down the wrong post code I'm surprised that your order was not declined immediately.
As its your error not the retailer you have to wait and see.
If you go down the route of claiming non receipt with Aqua then prepare them to fight any chargeback.

To be honest I don't think you're in a particularly strong position if you're responsible for the wrong address being used on the order, and the merchant have done all that they were asked to, i.e. despatch an order to the specified address.

Chargeback via card providers is a possible avenue to use in the event of non-receipt of ordered goods or services, but only once you've made reasonable attempts to resolve the matter with the supplier, so it would be premature to go down this route at this stage (the merchant would simply challenge it and it would be reversed).

Seems like the most sensible option is to wait and see what transpires over the next week or two - if it arrives then great, but if not then you'd need to discuss with the merchant and reach the point where they either refund you or conclusively reject your claim, and take it from there.

Edit: like buses round here, no replies for nearly an hour and then three come along at once! ;)
