It might be advice but it means your insurance is not valid. No sensible person goes abroad on holiday without insurance.

What about people going back home to Spain? You see, not everyone on a Ryanair flight is going on a holiday.

Also some people will be quite happy to go still. It doesnt matter if you agree with this or not. This, along with the above and a host of other reasons, are the reason not all flights will be binned.

I know some people have to travel to Spain, essential trips, people returning home etc.  But Ryanair should not leave holiday makers who have no valid insurance (Due to FCO advice) to choose between loosing all the money on the flight or travelling without insurance. They might not legally have to provide an alternative flight or voucher but as I said any decent company would look after their customers.

Why should a non refundable point to point airline differentiate between their customers? Its the risk you take when you book flights with them, everyone is happy to book on non refundable terms to begin with, people cant come on here crying months down the line that their initial decision has come back to bite them on the behind.

How many times have we been told not to travel unless you have valid travel insurance.  Once FCO says essential travel only and your travel insurance is not valid then people should not travel.  Therefore Ryanair should either cancel flights or allow you to change your booking.  Any decent company would look after their customers
Using Ryanair and decent company in the same sentence is hysterical.

You know I and thousands of others are still waiting for refunds from them for flights in April?

reason i never have, and never will, fly with ryan air, always book flexible and make sure i am insured. there are options for insurance if you still want to go.

As everyone has said, FCO is is ADVICE only. holidaymakers are not the only ones who fly!!!!

Ryanair don't appear to be cooperating very well with track and trace services either https://www.theguardian.com/world/2020/jul/28/berlin-couple-test-positive-for-coronavirus-after-manchester-visit

If you have travel insurance then can you not claim on the insurance for the cost of your flights due to the FCO advice?

You can still get medical insurance, if you still want to go. No chance with a refund from Ryanair, barring some kind of apocalype! I'm going still, unless total lockdown comes back in, can cope with quarantine luckily, due to work.

So they haven't given the Germans any feedback. So what? The Germans don't  need to know who was on their incoming flight, Ryanair just contact the people through the UK system which they probably have done. There is no evidence they haven't apart from the Germans whinging that they can't get an answer
