When are BA going to Cancel Holidays to Spain (Not Flights) ?

I have a Holiday booked departing 9th August to Port Aventura.
Jet 2 and Easyjet have already cancelled all theirs up to August 16th.
When will BA follow suit, at the moment the option is there to change it or cancel for a voucher.
As according to Which it is "unheard of" for Tour Operators to go against FCO Advice and run packages will it be a game of chicken ?
IE - They will wait as long as they can hoping people will opt for a voucher rather than become entitled to a refund when they cancel the trip.

All tour operators can wait until it is clear the rules will not change again so it could be 7 days before departure. As we can see, with this government things change by the minute, a nightmare for travellers and the industry0

Some may not cancel. They get to keep your money if you decide not to go0

Luckily you can "go up to the wire" on the voucher front - a deliberate ploy ?Alan_Bowen said:All tour operators can wait until it is clear the rules will not change again so it could be 7 days before departure. Going to Luxembourg this weekend just hoping there are no "further interventions" by the FCO !!0 -
Just been advised on Flyertalk that they have started cancelling Holidays to Spain on a proactive basis.
You get an e-mail and they refund the money directly to your card with no personal intervention required.
Only wish Last Minute.com had the same policy !!0 -
Got tired of waiting so rang BA just now - got through in two minutes !!!
Asked what was happening about my Spanish Holiday due to depart next Sunday in light of the FCO warning.
He cancelled it there and then full refund to my card in 7-10 Days.
Result !!!0 -
Refund arrived today !!!
If British Airways can do it in 5 days why have I been waiting well over 5 weeks for Ryanair , and don't even mention Lastminute.com
Probably because it is almost impossible to speak to a human being at the other two, or at least one who shows any empathy and/or any urgency in their desire to pay your money back.0 -
Well done! We have been waiting since April for Ryanair. We were due to fly Easter Sunday, we booked with Love Holidays. They have refunded accomodation and transfer. We filled in the online form with Ryanair back in April for a refund, after completing this it said allow 5/7 days to be received. Twice they reminded us we had a voucher!. 3 weeks ago Loveholidays sent a text asking us to reply if still waiting for a refund from Ryanair. They said working hard to get the money back and as soon as they get it they will refund us. The holiday was paid for in January!

But your refund is due in 14 days from LH, not from Ryanair. If Ryanair are slow to refund LH, that is not your problem, you have no contract with them. I don't understand why you have waited so long?
You have 120 days from the scheduled departure date (12/4/20) to do a chargeback for the remaining balance, so that expires on 10/8/20. So I suggest you call your bank immediately and start the process before you are timed out.No free lunch, and no free laptop

Slapped in a chargeback today, dont know why I waited so long.
It's an open and shut case as far as I can see, there is no defence they cancelled the flights and failed to refund my money in 7 Days.
I think two months is long enough to wait with no further response from Ryanair after the cancellation request.0
