So that looks like the recent 'corrected' bill, do you have an older one from at least a few months ago?The current bill shows they do know it is imperial now, the question is did they always know this?0

Here is the reference to m3. I’ve just realised looking at it now that when I submitted reading was 2175 (as shown in the gas meter pic I posted) here reading says 12175. Is that 1 being counted as twelve thousand two hundred and seventy five? Because my readings are showing as two thousand One hundred and seventy five.zafyha said:I’m trying to upload another pic-

They're just treating the meter as 5 digit, the maths works out the same. Is the meter serial number on the bill correct?
If they are now billing in m3, I would pay and run as the bill will be 1/3 of what it should be!! Switch elsewhere and get a smart meter asap.0 -

The bit that is in doubt is were they originally treating it as a metric meter and we will know that when we see an older bill...

So how did they come up with annual consumption of 8000kWh after the meter reading had been provided which shows 127,000kWh has been used over 5 years?MWT said:Talldave said:If they are now billing in m3, I would pay and run as the bill will be 1/3 of what it should be!! OK, the plot thickens...0 -

... although they need to make sure that they are on the best available tariff with the current provider.0 -
Of course, I wasn't suggesting that they switch until this is resolved, but equally I would not rush to just pay it so they can switch, as it is not yet certain that they will have to pay at the moment..Gerry1 said:MWT said:I do agree that switching elsewhere is a good idea, but there is no need to 'pay and run' as they are currently billing for the right amount I'd say...Unless and until the OP can settle the £2600 arrears they won't be able to switch elsewhere...
