Not necessarily Cashplus has a Sortcode and account number and isn’t a bank. Same for Revolut which has a Sortcode and account number and are not a bank. They will probably be an electronic money provider and won’t be covered under the FSCS scheme or the FCA, unless they decide to apply for a banking license.Malkytheheed said:

Except that Monzo is an actual bank and this OMG card isn't and is provided by Omega BAAP Limited, who ever they are.
with sort code, account number. Sounds like it will be an actual bank with associated licences.
Time is a path from the past to the future and back again. The present is the crossroads of both. :cool:0 -
There are quite a few products offering these services and marketing as current accounts which are not banks. Some have been named above, Pockit is another.Malkytheheed said:

You have to significantly recalibrate your expectations when dealing with e-money issuers.0 -
Out of curiosity, what details did you give them? I've very apprehensive giving my details to a completely random website that doesn't actually have an offering yet. Esspecially when finnancials are involved. I mean data gathering could be the entire goal of this company, we just don't know.WillPS said:Devil's in the detail with these products. I've registered my interest but if there's no benefit I won't bite.I'm hoping they do a few loss leaders with Amazon or the supermarkets to drum up interest.0 -
E-mail address (a unique one, so I'll know who to blame if I start receiving spam on it and can kill it effectively).Malkytheheed said:
