I am having problem with my Peugeot 5008 11 plate steering wheel lock, when I insert the key in it doesn't turn i'm having to proper yank the steering wheel at the same time as turning the key for upto 15 mins before it finally releases and starts the engine.
Then if I don't use the car again for a couple of days same thing happens again.
I have tried spraying loads of WD40 into the barrel around the steering onto the key but still makes no difference. have even tried the spare key and the same issue.
Anyone had any similar issues and got any ideas what else I can try?
Thanks

You could try not trying to set fire to the car. WD40.. oh dear... A lot of the locks will have the main power
cables and switch below that section and when the WD40 gets in there it will burn nicely.

    Dry lubricant for Electrical areas.

     Could be the steering lock.
Wiggle the steering wheel side to side (clockwise and anticlockwise) at the same time as inserting and turning the key.

Steering lock comes on if the wheel is turned after the engine is switched off, often as people use the steering wheel to help them stand up and exit the vehicle.
