Furlough pay but worked..

Hi All,
I’m slightly confused here.
I was furloughed from the start of April, I was asked to go back to work from 1st July but I had to take 8 days to annual leave from then till 13th.
I didn’t question the annual leave as 2 other guys were in the same boat and we have all had to take 5-8 days annual leave as we were rota’d to cover 3 week periods. (They went back to work mid May to start the alternate 3 week shifts, all with 1 week a/l)

So, for my July pay, I have got my standard furlough rate, no commission.

I heard the word flexible furlough but I don’t quite understand how this applies to me. I had 8 days annual leave then worked full hours upto the end of this month. So why do I not get my normal pay with commission?

Before I challenge it, I just want to make sure I haven’t missed something.

Thanks,
Bill

Your annual leave should of been at 100%, employer tops up the extra 20% if using furlough.

Does your pay period for July include these dates that you’ve been paid for?

So if you’ve been working since 13th July they’d should be paying you your normal rate from then I believe.

My pay is always for the entire month.. but I guess my boss has worked some way of saving money and claimed furlough for my leave. I really don’t know.

Your payslip should note annual leave hours separate from normal pay no?

It may not do.  Mine shows my usual pay amount and a furlough deduction, with the furlough deduction amount adjusted if there's annual leave taken in to consideration.

I think it can be allowed for the employer to claim furlough for leave, so long as topped up to 100%
