Remote working and home insurance after 1 august??

Hi!
I've seen a news article saying that anyone still working from home after the 1st August needs to check their home insurance as we could invalidate it as the government advice has changed.

Is this true? I don't know if I'm missing it but I can't find any more information about it?
We live in Wales and mine and my husbands work have told us we're going to be home until probably at least Xmas and now I'm worried!

What do we need to do?
Thanks for any help!
Bex

Phone up your insurer and check but it may well not make any odds if you're an employee.
I'm on a home working contractm have been for 5 years  but because I'm employed and my laptop etc is the responsibility of my employer it didn't change anything.  If anything it's a bonus because I'm home more so less chance of burglary while the house is emptypically,  for example.
It becomes more of an issue if you're self employed, have goods kept there or have people coming to your home for work purposes.

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.

Just thought I'd come back and update this as I have found out.
I called my insurer and they have said all is fine with working from home but any equipment I have bought home will not be covered. I have spoken to my employer about this and its all covered under their insurance.
    So nothing to worry about!

Best bet is to call them as every co is different. Be concise and the larger co's normally won't bother at this stage ie charge extra and give you a standard response - ie all ins co's in this position.   We got that on our S class Merc, the extended warranty is subject to MB service as per their service book but because of Covid they are making allowances but call them and take the name of the person, date and time you spoke with them is they say no further action is required atm
