Premier Inn Cancellation and VAT rate change

Hi,

I've just successfully cancelled 2 bookings made with Premier Inn both booked whilst VAT rate was 20%. The bookings were both 'Advance' rate and as such qualify for a full refund.

However, the amount refunded is less than the full price paid as VAT refunded is 5%

Is this correct?

I would think so, as VAT rate at the time of booking was 20%.
