Ryanair Charges for Flight Changes

I had a quick question about changing flights due to the current COVID situation.
I booked flights to Seville on 1st July with Ryanair as they said we could book with confidence and change the flight with no charge. After the government announcement at the weekend about having to quarantine when we return for 14 days, and you should not travel to mainland Spain, I changed the flights this morning. However, they charged me an extra 25GBP.
When I checked the Ryanair website the new dates we wanted for the flights were actually cheaper (155GBP). We originally paid 220.
Can they charge us that much more for changing the flights. They said the price on the website was for new customers only. This seems outrageous!
I also booked some tickets for tourist attractions. I booked on credit card. Do you know if there is any way I can get a refund for these through my credit card company. The websites are saying they are non refundable and non transferable.

Are the attractions you booked still open, and likely to be open on the day you are going to be there? If so, it isnt their fault you are not willing to go to Spain, so any credit card claim would fail. I would also suggest an insurance claim will probably fail as presumable you booked them long after the pandemic was declared in mid/late March.Nadine85Sam said:

I have noticed the same as well. I looked at changing flights to August next year, a "new" customer was being charged £61 for one flight, I was being offered £86.
Sorry that's probably of no help!

Ryanair are a disgrace - I have had the same; to move flights if they are more expensive you pay the difference, if they are cheaper they don't give the difference back. Also to change my August flights is £40pp per flight 'admin fee', so for us 4 x £40 x out and return = £320 just to move flights. I can't travel due to one of our group (a minor) not in our social bubble, can't quarantine on return due to work and care for elderly and vulnerable father so am going to lose £700 on flights I can't use. I will never, ever book Ryanair ever again.0

Why should they give the difference back? Everyone is happy enough to book Ryanair flights on non refundable terms to start out with, I have had to move a hotel booking on a non refundable rate that was cheaper for the new date than the old one, got nothing back, it is what it is.0

Bradders - agreed, but I'm betting the hotel didn't charge you £320 'admin fee' to change your reservation....0
