What I do not understand is how providers are allowed to apply inflationary price increases, based on 12 months of inflation, at intervals of less than 12 months, ie more than once per year.
Inflation measures only work if they correspond to the time period since the last measurement.
Where do you draw the line? Clearly applying a year's worth of inflation every 2 months would be stamped upon, and yet they seem to get away with regularly squeezing 12 months of price rise into 10 month intervals.0 -
40p increases are NOT the case - I had my original £10.99 promotional discount pulled!
my bill has gone from £18 a month to £28.99!
I'm quite switched on, but when I called Plusnet asking them to reconsider my increase (I'd spotted a deal with NOW for £18 a month for 18 months), but I felt like I was backed into a corner, & ended up agreeing to the £11 a month increase by being bullied by a guy from pressurised sales telling me I'd had my share of discounts.
I'm stuck with Plusnet now for 2 years, because (on checking the small print) it will now cost me to get out of contract.0 -
Backed into a corner why ?? you held all the cards with the threat of leaving .

Just had an email from Plusnet my price rise is a whole 38p a month, can't really complain as this is the first price rise I have had in seven years since transferred from ADSL to their fast fibre in 2013.0
